Dress for success

When you look great, you feel great, and this is an integral part of your workday. Even if the dress code at your new job isn't exactly what it was like in your old office (which could be anything from casual to business formal), take a moment to get familiar with any guidelines set for workplace attire.

Once you have done so, see how many outfits your existing wardrobe can fit into these rules or exceptions. If there aren't too many options available, consider bringing out some older pieces that may not have gotten much wear over the years but still flatter well enough for appearance purposes.

Be confident
