Have you ever participated in the Great Pumpkin Run?
You know what? It doesn’t matter. Because either way you have to join me for the Great Pumpkin Run if you’re in the Frederick, MD area on Saturday, November 4th, 2017. The 5K will be held at Crumland Farms, which is close to D.C., Baltimore, and Central PA.
Here are the highlights of why you want to join me for this awesome 5K if you’re in the area.
I suppose it wouldn’t be called the Great Pumpkin Run if pumpkins weren’t included (unless they’re the race director is a big Charlie Brown fan).
Now, I haven’t been to Crumland Farms before, so I don’t have experience with the course. However, I have a 2-year-old son and he’s been to almost every other farm and pumpkin patch in our area thanks to my wife. So, just make sure to watch your step!
By the end of it, if it’s anything like the Hard Cider Run, you’re going to be very thankful to receive that cold cup of apple cider at the end.
Here’s what you receive with your registration according to the Great Pumpkin Run site:
Sounds like a great haul to me! I know my son will appreciate the pumpkin to add to his collection on our front porch!
So, this is a fun way to challenge yourself. Although, I wouldn’t recommend spiking the pumpkin at the finish line. That might get a little messy, but it’d be an awesome photo!
Also, I’d only do this for a 5K. Can you imagine carrying a pumpkin a half or full marathon? That’s just asking for trouble (and sore arms)!
Yep, that’s right. You get to run on a farm with some beautiful fall scenery. Sounds like a perfect runner’s back drop, right?
Plus, you might as well bring the whole family. Not only will you have a travelling cheering section to motivate you, but you can celebrate (and drink some more cider) by strolling around the farm afterwards! Sounds like a wonderful Saturday (and much better than errands).
