How I Made Over $10,000 In 2 Months Blogging

how to make 10,000 blogging

Do you bloggers actually make money?

In one answer: yes.

You know, it makes me laugh when people scoff at online content creators. They really think people can’t make a full time living. They think they lie to their readers about their income figures — or they come from shady sources.

I’ve actually had someone say to me that people who make $100,000+ per month with blogs or podcasts are really selling drugs. WTF?!?

Now, I won’t say I didn’t have my doubts. While I believed 5 or 6 figures were possible, I wasn’t exactly sure how to get there.

Allow me to give you a quick walk-through of how I did it — and why I did it.

I Had A Definite Why

Before you can even think about starting a successful blog, you to have a reason why you’re doing it. Otherwise, you can forget about it taking off.

For me, my “why” was twofold: (1) I want the blog to replace my full-time income and (2) I want to spend more time with my family.

This makes blogging a no-brainer for achieving my goals. It allows me the income streams and time freedom to pursue my dreams — and, one day, to live them.

I Followed A Process

I’ve tried plenty of other blogs and online businesses to no avail. I later learned that my failure was due in large part to not following a process.

Instead of following a path that was likely to lead to success, I tried to reinvent the wheel time and time again. I felt that I had to build the website from scratch and learn coding if I wanted to call myself an entrepreneur.

HELL NO.

You can’t do everything by yourself. You need a well-designed process — and don’t feel bad about following it.

For many bloggers (myself included), that process was Elite Blog Academy. Simply put, this course will expedite the learning process and provide you with everything you need to set the foundation for your blog. Additionally, it will give you the tools to grow your blog into a full-time income.

Frankly, that’s exactly what Elite Blog Academy is designed to do. You can check out Rosemarie over at The Busy Budgeter if you don’t believe me. She went from $18/month to $5,000/month in her first year blogging. I was fortunate enough to make over $6,000 in December 2017 and over $4,000 in January 2018.

However, Rosemarie is killing it almost 3 years after starting her blog — and pulling in 6 figures per month. That is every blogger’s dream!

And we both have EBA to thank for it. If you want, sign up here for The Secret Blueprint for Blogging Success to give you an idea of how to get started. You can do this. Trust me.

I Went For The Easier Money First

I’ll be honest with you, though, it takes a lot of work. You can’t just slap up a few blog posts and expect to be pulling in hundreds or thousands of dollars.

You need to build up your content. You need to promote yourself, but in a way that’s helpful to others. You need to build relationships with people. You need to gain your readers’ trust. Most of all, you can’t be afraid to fail or work hard.

Once I did a large portion of that, I started with a few monetization options. The first was advertising with myFinance and Google Adsense. Secondly, it was affiliate marketing where you include links in blog posts, emails, or social media touting other people’s products. Finally, I made money from sponsored posts as well which is where people pay me to post an article on my site.

The beauty of blogging and running your own online business is that there are so many income streams open to you. But, it all requires a solid foundation and constant marketing outreach.

If blogging is something you want to do, I strongly encourage you to follow a process. It made all the difference for me in my first year with Run The Money.

Elite Blog Academy Made All The Difference

With Elite Blog Academy, you can get yourself in prime position for success just like I did. It’s available again from March 5 – March 9 here in 2018 — and that’s it. If you don’t get it this year, you will have to wait until 2019.

While you may balk at the price at first, the return on your investment will be so far beyond your wildest dreams. You just need to follow the process.

5 years ago I was able to start writing full time on a blog, as a medical issue prevented me working outside the home. Before I got started I decided a few things. First, I wanted a strong demographic that was in my strong areas. So right or stupid, I decided to use nothing but WordPress word of mouth build my followers. I watched others pay to get 25x the group I had very quickly, but not even close to the strength of demographic. I decided I would rather have 1000k totally into my topic than 25k that could give a rip. Again it was a guess. I read about making money and knew I should forget about it until I had at Least 1000 posts . I have still not plugged in to any of the ways to expose my blog outside of WordPress. The reason? I vowed I would only go there when I was ready to monetize and had a decent foundation. So here I am. Only 700 followers and 45k views but all word of mouth. But they are 85% into my topic (s). It’s now when I’m allowing myself to think of pumping my numbers up and trying to make money. I have more content than I need. But my feedback from the ” pros” now is almost all the sane . ” Man, you did this the hard way, the right way. You built a real foundation first and not an overnight paid subscriber base.”
Great I think to myself. But I’m still not making money. So I have a head start , albeit small in following. I have enough content to let the rest of the world know I’m here. But which avenue??? Affiliate marketing, Amazing, Best Buy, etc, or maybe try for a few high end advertisers who get full exclusivity in their field and try and make a nice monthly stream by getting 15 or 20?
The answer is I don’t know which is right and I’m certainly not going to waste 5 years and 1400 articles on anything I don’t have to. After all I did the hard work up front right? But I’m still not earning a dime. I don’t know what wat to go. What do you suggest, given you cater to beginning bloggers???
    Thanks
    Tj
